Since April 2011, TypeJar Studio has had the complete honor to work with They Look Like Good Strong Hands–an Austin super group harnessing the power of the over-9-minute song that aims to put you in a rocking trance. This rock-tastic instrumental band starts each song with a powerfully hypnotic riff that builds slowly until the chords burst into a crescendo of melodic paradise. Yes, the members of this band are our friends–but they’re talented, hard-working and we are happy to have the opportunity to help them promote their shows.
Here at TypeJar, we wanted to celebrate how far they’ve come (as well as we have as designers) by looking at their journey through design. Gig posters have a way of stamping a performance in the book of time–where the excitement, nerves, and dedication spent preparing for that night all come together–for the band members, the designer, and the audience.
